kaito is a japanese vocaloid created by crypton future media and has two iterations, one for the original vocaloid software and one for vocaloid3. he is the first male japanese vocaloid and was initially a colossal failure, but after a stroke of luck, his popularity began to rise, and he is now one of the six main characters portrayed in popular vocaloid media, such as the project diva games and magical mirai concerts. like many other vocaloids, kaito is a part of a duo, his female counterpart being meiko.
headcanons
kaito is ordinary very mellow, but has a tendency to get carried away with his roles. he dedicates his entire being to the character he portrays in a song, which makes for very convincing performances. this does, however, cause him to act like the character on occasions when he is not required to. it is a troublesome habit, but it does produces satisfying results for producers.while a bit reserved in ordinary conversation, kaito's style of dance is incredibly grand. elegant but sharp turns, exaggerated kicks, dramatic arm movements and expressive acting are all common sights when he is performing.kaito is a rather affectionate individual, and will often dote heavily on those he grows attached to. he also naturally tends to take on a sort of "big brother" role in many of his relationships with individuals younger than himself, whether he means to or not.after his initial commercial failure, he feels indebted to hatsune miku, who essentially saved his entire career and brought him back from the brink.this initial failure of his has lead him to have mild self-confidence issues. he tends to cover it up with acting and favors taking care of others first and foremost. despite having a tendency to give advice on how to improve one's self, he has a hard time practicing what he preaches.[ more tba ]

[ ●●●●○ | ☑ | დ ]what is there to say about hatsune miku? everyone knows her. and for good reason, too. she's extremely admirable, she's a delight to be around, and she's honestly sort of like a little sister to you, too.with that said, however, you find yourself having a bit of a complex view of her. you trust her, and you're happy to be her friend, but you've always felt eternally indebted to her, and part of you wonders if you really have any right to stand by her side. it's something you have to battle and keep on the down-low, and it doesn't always escape her notice, but... it's sort of reassuring when she worries about you in turn. it means she really does care about you as much as you care for her.

[ ●●●●○ | ☑ | ∞ ]the sole creator of the wonderland sekai. naturally, you have a unique bond with him, having been given form from his very feelings, and so you share a lot of elements with both tsukasa and his ideals. it makes it a little easier to manage the sekai so that everything can run smoothly, but more importantly, it makes it easier to help guide tsukasa through his thoughts in order to reach those difficult to reach feelings of his. it can be a bit of an arduous process sometimes, and you find you're unable to help yourself from teasing him from time to time, but you genuinely mean it when you say you want to help him in any way you can, and that he can rely on you for anything he may need. after all, you're certain that tsukasa needs someone to rely on too, after being the one who's always relied upon by others.
